'Fine by me': Manager demands nurse goes home to dry damp hair, maliciously complies and gets paid to stay home for 2-3 hours as her hair naturally air dries

Have you ever interviewed for a job that requires a certain hair type? You'd think that would be jobs like hair modeling or… or?… Actually, I can't think of another, but it's not a common thought when applying to a job. Maybe how you're supposed to do your hair, if it's business professional attire or whatever. However, if you're applying to be a nurse, your only hair concern would probably be if you can tie it out of your face or not. Maybe even have it short enough that you can tuck it under one of those scrub bonnet thingies. Apparently, for this nurse, having slightly damp hair was an issue.

This nurse posted on Reddit how she was running late to work, so she skipped drying her hair in order to make it on time, which she did. Her hair was not dripping, it was just slightly damp, and yet her manager still told her to go back home and dry it. She was annoyed, but she made sure that this was an order from the boss and will be part of her paid hours. The manager said yes, mostly because she assumed she had a hairdryer. Which OP might have, but did she use it? Nope. She went home and sat on the couch for several hours while her hair air dried naturally. When she returned to work hours later and was asked why she took so long, she said she was just doing what she was asked. Nurse : 1 Manager: 0
